Electrical Testing
Electrical testing is one of the most important parts of a new installation and even existing systems. Testing your new installation will ensure it is safe to use, making sure all of your connections are adequate and that there is continuity with all of your circuits. Testing an older or existing system at a regular interval will ensure that any intermittent faults or anything not up to standard are found and corrected. This can be especially useful in commercial or industrial instances where down time could cost you increasing amounts of revenue.
As stated in British standard BS 7671, all properties must have their electrical installations inspected regularly by a qualified electrician to eradicate the risk of fire or an electric shock from the effects of the damage of wear and tear.
This is shown in regulation 641.1 which states -
'Every installation shall, during erection and on completion before being put into service, be inspected and tested to verify so far as is reasonably practicable that the requirements of BS 7671 have been met.'
This is also shown in regulation 651.1 which states -
' Where required. Inspection and testing of every electrical installation shall be carried out in accordance with regulation 651.2 to 651 .5 in order to determine so far as is reasonably practicable whether the installation is in a satisfactory condition for continued service wherever possible the documentation arising from the initial certification and any previous. Fiction and testing shall be taken into account where no previous documentation is available investigation of the electrical installation shall be undertaken prior to carrying out the periodic inspection and testing.'
We offer several different types of testing to suit your needs.
These are represented as the following:
Periodic inspections.
Electrical inspections: emergency lighting, domestic, commercial and industrial installations.
Electrical installation condition report EICR.
Testing of work performed by other non-accredited companies.
We are fully accredited by NAPIT, a government endorsed scheme, ensuring that your install is being tested, inspected and approved with a safe pair of hands.
